چکیده
The Community Multiscale Air Quality (CMAQ) model with the 7th generation aerosol module (AERO7) was employed to simulate organic (OA) in Seoul, Korea, for year 2016. goal of present study includes 1-year simulation OA using WRF-CMAQ recently EPA-developed AERO7 pcVOC (potential VOC from combustion) scale factor revision and analysis seasonal behavior surrogate species Seoul. AERO7, most recent version CMAQ model, a new secondary (SOA) species, pcSOA SOA combustion), resolve inherent under-prediction problem OA. classified into three groups: primary (POA), anthropogenic (ASOA), biogenic (BSOA). Each group further 6~15 individual according volatility oxygen content aging formation SOA. hourly emissions POA precursors were compiled fed successfully variations compositions ambient organic-matter organic-carbon ratios (OM/OC). showed that ASOA major groups cool months (from November March) while BSOA warm April October) simulated OM/OCs ranged 1.5~2.1 which agreed well AMS measurements Seoul May

متن کاملThermodynamic Modeling of Organic Aerosol
Modeling atmospheric aerosols containing a large organic fraction with unknown chemical composition and properties has been a constant challenge. The dissertation focuses on the theoretical treatment of the thermodynamic equilibrium of atmospheric aerosol involving organic species. We present a vapor pressure estimation method, based on quantum chemistry methods, to predict the liquid vapor pre...

متن کاملModeling urban and regional aerosols—Development of the UCD Aerosol Module and implementation in CMAQ model
This paper presents a mechanistic, fully dynamic, internally mixed, sectional aerosol module, the UCD Aerosol Module, which evolves from the Aerosol Inorganic Model (AIM). The UCD Aerosol Module employs three gas-to-particle mass transport schemes, replacement, coupled and uncoupled, and simplified aerosol thermodynamics to predict gas–particle partitioning, aerosol phase state and water conten...
